AlphaSmart, Inc. (AI) was founded as Intelligent Peripheral Devices, Inc. (IPD) in 1992. Our name was changed to AlphaSmart, Inc. in 1999.In fall 1999, our sales office for Europe, Africa and Middle East was opened. AlphaSmart's European office is located in London, England.
AlphaSmart, Inc. was acquired by Renaissance Learning, Inc. in June 2005.
